The fountain is composed
of cast glass (Rivulet) with fused dichroic
glass. Above the fountain are suspended glass rods and slumped sandblasted
wings.
The water is collected in a self contained pool and re-circlulates.
The flowing water symbolizes the purifying and cleansing act of
Baptism.
The wings represent the descending and ascending dove which symbolize
the Holy Spirit while the rods which shimmer with color from the
lights and move gently with air currents, represent the fresh winds
of the Holy Spirit, or the "breath of life". |
